Implant Dentistry
If you are missing a tooth or have a badly-damaged tooth, do not live one more day procrastinating. Be proactive by dialing (951) 214-6585 to schedule an appointment where our dentist will determine if you are a candidate for implant dentistry. In general, those who have ample jaw bone density and do not smoke are candidates for dental implants. The dental implant process will take upwards of six months or a bit longer yet it is worth it.
Replacing compromised teeth with dental implants essentially replaces the roots of the teeth with posts consisting of titanium. Such dental posts are similar to screws that are rooted within the jaw bone. The screws connect with the jaw bone through a process known as osseointegration. Though some dental crowns and bridges do not look exactly like real teeth, dental implants are nearly impossible to distinguish from normal teeth.
Once the process of osseointegration is complete and the titanium posts have fused to the jaw bone, the dentist will add abutments and caps so your artificial teeth resemble actual teeth and also function just like your natural teeth. Be patient throughout the process of osseointegration and you will agree the wait was well worth it once your dental implants are firmly in place.
